Reunion in Montreal- July 2005

The reunion was wonderful, with around 350 attending (it's a pity that less than ten people from Israel attended).
It was great meeting everyone again, some of us hadn't met for almost 40 years!!
The first meeting was on Friday evening, it was very moving.
Saturday evening there was a DJ with lots of music and dancing, including oriental. The food was great, there were trays of food, including "tibit" cooked by Ibtissam Shasha-Gabbay.
Abdallah Obadiah was recognized in words. His wife, daughter Linda and son Richard were called to the stage, Richard said a few words.
Linda Mnuchin cited the moving poem from the 1996 reunion in Israel.
Edwin Shuker reported about his trip to Iraq.
Slide shows and pictures were shown - you can find on this website (culture section) some of the Frank Iny school pictures that were screened.
On Sunday we went on a trip to Mont Tremblant, a 90 minute drive from Montreal. The weather was great, the scenery was fabulous- the lake, watching the sunset from the top of the mountain and the cosy village.
On Monday the ladies met to say goodbye.
Many thanks to David and Ibtissam Gabbay for making this reunion possible! (A reunion whose seeds were planted last September at David's house..... seeds that grew into a wonderful reunion - a fairy tale come true).

You are invited to write your impressions from the lovely weekend (we'll include your name if you wish) and suggestions for future reunions.

Please send us more pictures and video clips!
